History Club Trip to Gloucester Cathedral
The club went to the Cathedral after school and they all found it interesting! They went to the Cathedral from school together and met a guide who took them up to the top of the Cathedral where they saw the Great Peter Bell and also saw how the bells were rung. The highlight was seeing the view from the top of the tower. It was 70 meters and 269 stairs. You could even see the school from the top!!
History News
"Mrs Fletcher took her after school club to the history museum in town they all enjoyed it.
We went into the museum where we tried on some roman tunics then we all went into what used to be the old roman castle (outside Boots) that circled around Gloucester. After we had gone under ground, looked at the old horse bath and then went to the museum. we were then separated into 3 groups where we look at old roman artefacts and then we all got to try on the old roman armour which was fun".
