Travel To & From the College

As a healthy school, we are proud of the number of students who walk or cycle.  We have large sheds covered by CCTV cameras to accommodate bicycles brought into the College.  Students should not ride on the premises, and we strongly recommend the wearing of cycle helmets for travel to and from school.  Students must use the pedestrian entrance from Estcourt Road when they enter and leave the premises.

Students from the south of the city often come by bus, and the College wishes to facilitate this and to support attendance at after-school clubs.  We are therefore contributing financially to the running of a bus (the 169 service) from Podsmead through Matson and Tredworth which arrives at the College in time for school in the morning, and leaves after clubs have finished on the days when they run.  This service costs £1.60 single or return.  Otherwise, the 1 (from Matson), 7 (from Finlay Rd) and 9 (from Tuffley) buses operate frequently into the City Centre, and the 94 runs up London Road.

Parents bringing students by car are asked to drop them off the College site unless there are particular mobility reasons.  This is to ensure the safety of students and staff.  Parents are asked to take particular care around the pedestrian exit as the students emerge at 14:40, and not to park on the zigzags designed to give the gate some protection.
